This is a quick overview of some of IngenPool's main features. Your best bet to get acquainted with all of IngenPool's exciting features is to download and install the software and use the built-in tourney simulator along with the 5 Tourney demo credits to experiment and get familiar with all the managing tools at your disposition.

TOURNEY SETUP: A tourney is setup in 10 easy simple steps. You can create templates for weekly tourneys to save you some typing week after week. Your default payout table (set in Settings & Defaults) is automatically loaded. The "Prize %", represents the percentage of entry fee returned to the prizes and can be adjusted for each tournament along with any money added. The payout table adjusts dynamically as registration are processed, or you may select to set the prizes manually.

DATABASE: A handy database is at your disposition to build up your repository of players. Team records are also supported. Once a player is entered, registering him/her to a tournament is only a matter of retrieving the record and hit the "Register" button.

SCHEDULING: When scheduling is ON, open a few tables and the scheduled date-time and table # will appear for each match in the brackets as shown in this screen shot. This live computation is based on the event schedule (which can spread up to 7 days), how many tables are open, the races based on selected handicap and the estimated time per single game. There are 3 main schedule-handling settings, "Live", "Live on tour day / Otherwise freeze" and "Freeze". Live (default) means that date-time and table # will be continuously re-computed on the fly as the tournament progresses. The days will show alternatively in white and yellow font. Freeze means no computation, keep the schedule as initially computed or manually set, which is the default for most tournament software, but as we all know, things never go exactly as planned. The best IngenPool setting is "Live on tour day / Otherwise freeze", allowing for dynamic scheduling without pulling-in players from one day to another. Note that when set to "Live on tour day / Otherwise freeze", the freeze value will become dynamic when the date/time is reached.



MANAGING A TOURNEY: Everything you need to manage a tourney is as close as a right-click context menu. You will make mistakes, declaring the wrong winner, sending players to the wrong table, enter the wrong scores. IngenPool is designed in a way that anything can be easily undone or corrected. You can even undo a Tourney all the way back to the start!

THE TABLES: You can chose to use the table or not, but we believe you will for the multiple benefits. To start a match, drag a ball-tray from the bracket to an open table. The table timer starts automatically and will buzz and turn yellow when the expected computed match time is exceeded. The managing context menu is also available if you right-click the players on the table. The tables can be renumbered to reflect your pool room setup. They are also on a smart-scroll routine so everyone gets to see the ongoing matches detail when projected on an HDTV.

RACES AND HANDICAPS: You can set the races for every elimination levels, along with the handicap in use. Tourney defaults can also be set for every formats. Many of IngenPool's features uses the values as set here. For example, the scorecards, the computed table time-allowed, the Dispatch Window, etc.

HARD COPY REPORTS: Every hard copy report you may require is one click away. You can also print bracket blanks when all tourney are closed.

CALCUTTA MANAGER: A comprehensive Calcutta manager is built in and allows you to effectively manage your Calcutta auctions. Players past performance with skill level fluctuation (membership feature), computed payouts and beneficiary calculation, sound effects, are some of the features.

DOOR PRIZE WHEEL: A spinning wheel, automatically loaded with all registered players, is accessible throughout the tourney lifetime. This smart wheel keeps past winners in memory and its status is saved with the tournament.

ADVERTISING AND MESSAGES: IngenPool features a comprehensive banner rotation and scrolling message manager. Banner rotation when projecting on HDTV can generate additional revenue.

DISPATCH: Drag a ball-tray, right-click, and select "Announce match" to bring up the beeping dispatch window calling players to their assigned table.

COMPILER: Compile Points & Prizes accumulated during a season (by selecting a specific tournament directory folder). The points value earned for each final positions can be edited, and are compiled on the fly for export to html. This feature is useful to qualify players for an end-of-season main event based on perfomance during the regular season.

WEB PUBLISHING: IngenPool's annual membership enables the publishing features where full brackets and match results can be uploaded as often as you want with the click of a button. Once uploaded, a unique link is created allowing anyone to follow the progression of an event online with match results detail, etc.

ALTERNATE GRAPHICS: Due to its ease of use and versatility, IngenPool, although specialized for Pool & Billiard events, is often used to manage other types of tournaments. A variety of alternate graphic packages are at your disposition to better represent alternative events, especially when projecting on HDTV.
